Saxony-Anhalt parliament elects AfD president and two vice-presidents, SPD candidate fails

The AfD's Tobias Rausch became state parliament president, while its Hans-Thomas Tillschneider and CDU's Carsten Borchert were elected vice-presidents; SPD's Armin Willingmann did not secure the third vice-presidency.

- Hans-Thomas Tillschneider (AfD) was elected first vice-president with 44 yes votes and 38 no votes.
- Carsten Borchert (CDU) was elected second vice-president with 64 yes votes, 17 no votes and one abstention.
